Prevention & Skills Building Program

Prevention works if done consistently! Check out Dr. Collier’s prevention website, www.KnowYourNeuro.org, based on the research in The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide. Know Your Neuro puts brain-based, social-emotional, and prevention skills training right in the hands of schools and caregivers. Designed to be integrated into a school’s health or homeroom curriculum, Know Your Neuro videos and class activities can be easily integrated and tailored to fit the developmental needs of K-12 youth.

The NeuroWhereAbouts Parent Guide

Dr. Crystal Collier offers a validated neurodevelopmental approach to help parents raise their kids to refrain from engaging in high-risk behaviors. In the guide, Dr. Collier shows what healthy brain development looks like, how risky behaviors can derail that trajectory, and how to keep development on track. Illustrated in a fun, infographic style, The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide puts at parents’ fingertips the developmentally appropriate prevention science they need to set children up for success from elementary school to college.

Loved your presentation.  You really are a master at your trade and can captivate  and engage an audience in a special way.

FOO mapping  was by far the most valuable therapy I have ever received. Even though I went in kicking and screaming and rolling my eyes, I believed you when you said it would help and it has drastically changed the amount that I suffer from major depressive episodes.

Parent Presentation Participant, Medway, MA

Dr. Collier – this was, without a doubt, the singularly most important and valuable learning/parenting opportunity of my entire life. And everything I do personally and professionally revolves around learning how to parent.

Brain-Savvy Parent – Robyn N.

I have been non stop ‘brain talk’ with anyone who will listen to me ever since viewing your webinar ‘Effects of Technology on Brain Development’ through Operation Parent!!  I am just so taken by your upbeat, personal connection, super smiley, crazy-informative way of educating!  Your teaching style really connected with me and I have been singing your praises and sharing your link like crazy.  THANK YOU for your willingness to educate!  I look forward to immersing myself in The Neuro Whereabouts Guide.

FOO Fighter – Laurel K.

It’s hard to explain or to verbalize but the FOO Mapping was perhaps one of the most consequential processes of my adult life.  It’s like I no longer feel like the  little metal ball in a pinball machine when the world pulls my lever.  Still not perfect, but I have my FOO button in my kitchen and I push it daily…I kept your voice because for some reason.. when you say it I believe you

Crime Stoppers Conference Attendee

Dr. Collier presented the information in a very understandable way even if you had no neuroscience training before listening. This is another session that I want to listen to again.

Ben, Father

I wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed and learned from your “Parent Ed” sessions through my child’s school. You have a wonderful approach, style, and tone, which is very engaging but also very clear and easy to understand. It’s also obvious that you have real expertise not only in the subject matter but how to explain it and apply it. I’ve learned a lot, and my wife and I quickly adopted several strategies and action items that have been helpful!

Jo-Anne Reed Be Well, Mayor’s Office of Education

I have seen you present twice, once at a Conroe ISD Middle School and once at a Zoom webinar for school counselors. Your presentations were powerful and impressive because they incorporated evidence-based approaches based on scientific findings .The use of easy-to-understand graphics regarding the adolescent brain and effective ways to communicate with youth, were also very effective.

5 Star seminar again!

Parent Presentation Attendee

I first want to thank you for the work you are doing and for educating kids and parents!  I learned so much from you today.  I never understood “Once an addict always an addict.”  I thought that was a saying to keep people from using again.  It is, but so much more to it.  Thank you for sharing the science behind it.  I too was a parent that thought kids could drink a little as teenagers, I did.  I now have a different perspective on why they should wait.

Mother of 2 Boys

I brought my two boys with me to your presentation and we all loved it. We all took a lot out of it. I was nervous at first that I had misunderstood and it was for adults only when I did not see other children. However, you are an amazing presenter and made it fun and informative for children and adults!

Anne C.

Your presentation was excellent and made me better understand the effects of screens on my children.

Recovering Person

Its been several months since our last visit. Things are going well. Marriage is great. Communication is good. The best part is I’m still sober!!! Today is day 358. Almost at my 1 year mark! I still remember like it was yesterday when you told me I had to come up with an end date. I was a wreck! I was loosing my “best friend”. I still have cravings from time to time but have ZERO desire to use marijuana ever again!

College Professor

I just wanted to personally thank you, again, for coming to speak with our faculty at Lone Star College -CyFair.  I received rave reviews from those in attendance and I expect you will be receiving many future invitations. I personally couldn’t quit talking about everything I learned from you!  Your engaging presentation style combined with the depth of your expertise make for a killer combination! Thank you for sharing your gifts, talents and passions with us!

Kami

I attended your presentation last night at MDUMC and really loved it!  Thank you so much for speaking to this subject!  It was so relatable to me and I really appreciated all research on brain development and scans to get a visual.  As a RN, I really appreciated it! I came home and told my husband all about your presentation.

Sorina

I’m a second year pharmacy student. I attended the TAAP conference in San Antonio a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of seeing your presentation. I LOVED it! I appreciated your humor, but I also appreciated that you took a difficult subject and put it into a presentation that was clear, effective, and impactful. I cannot wait for your book to come out!

Marie

Thanks for your awesome presentation at Palmer Church this morning. Your energy, use of layman’s terms, and obvious knowledge of and passion for the topic made for a highly engaging, informative session. I would LOVE to have a copy of your slides, and would be most grateful if you’d send them to me. Thanks for the work you do, and the message you spread.

Junior High Student

Thank You , so much for your presentation. I’m a junior in Brays Oaks and I was inspired by you and I learned a lot and hope to see you again. Also I was wondering if you can send the powerpoint for further information. Please and thank you.

Andrea, Program Director

I would like to take a minute to say what an AMAZING opportunity it was to be able to sit in your presentation at the TAAP conference. It was by far my favorite of the entire conference. Would you be willing to share your power points with me so I can share them with my staff? I would greatly appreciated it. Again, thank you so much. You are an amazing presenter and of course… extremely knowledgeable.
